Harris County Ranks as fast-growing county in Texas

The US Census Bureau released its July 2019 population estimates at the end of March. Data shows that Harris County remains Texas' most populous and fastest-growing county. Nationwide, Harris County is the third most populous county behind Los Angeles and Cook County in Illinios.

Census data also shows that Harris County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the US year after year.

By now, people have received their 2020 Census forms. This once-a-decade count determines congressional representation, impacts federal funding and provides data that impacts communities for the next decade.
