More to Love in Houston: The Riot Comedy Club Finds a New Home on Washington Avenue
Houston’s Washington Avenue corridor continues to grow as a destination for dining, entertainment, and local experiences, and now residents have another reason to enjoy the area. According to Community Impact, The Riot Comedy Club recently opened its first standalone venue at 1925 Washington Ave., marking an exciting new chapter for the Houston-based comedy club.
Founded in 2020, The Riot has built a following with performances from both local comedians and nationally touring acts, and its new 4,700-square-foot space offers a dedicated showroom with more than 100 seats, expanded parking, food and beverage service, and a full bar.
For the surrounding community, the arrival of The Riot adds another layer to what makes Washington Avenue such an appealing place to live, work, and spend time. With live comedy scheduled throughout the week, the venue offers residents an opportunity to enjoy entertainment close to home while supporting a Houston-grown business. The Riot also plans to introduce an on-site coffee shop, offering coffee, baked goods, and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options beginning in the morning.
Together, additions like these help create a lively neighborhood atmosphere where residents can enjoy more of their city without having to travel far.
At Farb Homes, we know that a home is about more than the walls around you but about the community that surrounds it. The continued growth of Washington Avenue reflects the energy and character that make Houston neighborhoods so exciting, with new businesses, entertainment, and gathering places giving residents even more ways to connect with their community.
