Trail Construction in the Heights Starts this Fall

Construction on the trail that connects the Missouri Kansas Texas Trail with the White Oak Bayou Greenway will begin this fall. The Houston City Council just approved the 850 ft. connection in a meeting on August 31st. 

This connecting trail will foster a greater connection and safe access between two of the most popular trails in the area. The trail connection will give locals more options for hiking, biking, walking, and running through the most beautiful places in the city. 

The project is contracted to Teamwork Construction Services Inc. and will cost the city approximately $1.2 million. The estimated completion is sometime in the winter of 2022.
