Russo's New York Pizzeria now open in New Caney

Many new businesses have either celebrated their grand opening or are opening soon in the Heights, River Oaks, and Montrose. New businesses include a new mini-golf course, popular locations expanding, new bars and restaurants opening, and more. 

Here is the breakdown of the new businesses, entertainments, bars, and eateries coming to Heights, River Oaks, and Montrose. 

Puttery Mini-Golf in Houston’s Old Sixth Ward

The two-story mini-golf and entertainment center is set to open in Sawyer Yards, in Houston’s Old Sixth Ward area, at 1818 Washington Avenue. It will feature four 9-hole courses, several bars, and live entertainment with a rotating schedule of DJs. They will offer craft cocktails and upscale food. As for the competition, the location will offer the latest in miniature golf scoring technology. 

The Food Hall at Railway Heights

The Food Hall at Railway Heights just celebrated their soft opening earlier this August. It is a two-story building that features a wide variety of dining and eatery options and local vendors. In the near future, they plan to host weekly farmers’ markets. They are also planning to build a 13,000 sq. ft. beer garden, a stage with outdoor seating, and a dog park for their guests.

NettBar Opening in Shady Acres

NettBar will be opening a location in Shady Acres at 1717 W. 22nd St. in Houston. This new bar will have a full kitchen and food menu, will special weekly events that include

  • Trivia. 
  • Dart Tournaments. 
  • Steak nights. 
  • Musical bingo. 
  • Bocce ball. 
  • Goat yoga. 

They will even host monthly markets for local artisans. Their dining and social area will have a covered outdoor patio space with a fenced-in children’s play area as well. 

The Now Massage in The Heights

The Now Massage is bringing luxury massage and spa treatments to the Heights this fall and will be opening at 373 W. 19th St. in Houston. 

Featured services include therapeutic massage, Swedish-style massages, stress-reduction massages, signature relaxation massages, and sports recovery massages. They also offer enhancements such as deep tissue, gua sha, and heat therapy. 

Frances Valentine in River Oaks

The New York-based fashion brand, Frances Valentine, will open its first Texas location in Houston this September. The new store is located at 4444 Westheimer Road. 

The lifestyle brand offers a wide variety of women’s apparel, handbags items, and shoes and accessories. The Valentine aesthetic leverages brightly colored patterns to create unique, signature designs for women. 

Elyce Arons and Andy Spade founded Frances Valentine in 2016. Since then, they have expanded their exclusive collection and brand all over the globe. 

Andiron Houston

Andiron wood-burning steakhouse is opening its doors in early 2022 and will be located in the historic building at 3201 Allen Parkway, Suite. E110, in Houston. 

Their menu will have traditional steaks and steakhouse classics, live-fire preparation techniques, and small-plate options as well. For seating, this location will feature a dining room, bar-lounge area, a covered patio, and an outdoor lounge, with total seating availability for almost 200 people.
