Rice University will Use $100 Million Grant for New Student Center
The Moody Foundation granted Rice University $100 million to construct a new student center and create endowments to support student programs. This grant amount matches the largest financial gift that Rice has ever received, in the university’s history.
The new center will be called the “Moody Center for Student Life and Opportunity.” This new student building will replace the 60-year old Rice Memorial Center. Rice expects to break ground on the project sometime in early 2022, with projected completion in late 2023.
