Houston Symphony presents Exxon Mobil Summer Symphony Nights
This summer, the Houston Symphony returns with three concerts, including their annual Fourth of July celebration, Star-Spangled Salute. The family-friendly “Exxon Mobil Summer Symphony Nights” bring audiences the sights and sounds of Houston’s symphony.
June 24 – THE FIREBIRD: Featuring Rogerson’s Luminosity, Copland’s Suite from Billy the Kid, S. Hyken’s Refried Farandole, Stravinsky’s Suite from The Firebird, and A. Marquez’s Danzón No. 2
June 25 – PROKOFIEV’S FIFTH: Featuring Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, a concerto to be announced, and Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5
July 4 – STAR-SPANGLED SALUTE: Selection of patriotic songs
All concerts begin at 8:30 PM at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, 6000 Hermann Park Drive, Houston.
