Houston Association of Realtors Reports Another Record Month in March
The Houston Association of Realtors reported with their monthly press release this week that despite rising mortgage rates and record low supply of homes across Greater Houston, home buyers kept the Houston real estate market in positive territory in March. Buyer demand outpaced supply and multiple offers on homes continue to push pricing into record territory.
Single-family home sales increased 4.1 percent with 9,693 homes sold in March 2022 compared to 9,309 in March of 2021. Homes priced from $500K to $1 million led the way for sales in March, with a 36% year-over-year gain. Homes priced from $250K to $500K were second, with a 24% increase.
