Downtown Power Lunch
The downtown power lunch is about to be elevated — 550-feet high, that is.
Strato 550 will open this spring on the 43rd floor of 1415 Louisiana (formerly known as the Wedge International Tower). Situated 550 feet above the street, the developer touts the restaurant as having the highest vantage point of any venue that's open to the public. For reference, the members-only Houston Club occupies the 49th floor of 910 Louisiana, and Spindletop, the restaurant atop downtown's Hyatt Regency Houston, twirls on the 34th floor.
In addition to expansive views, the new restaurant will provide an on-trend menu of "approachable cuisine with a Mediterranean influence . . . [that] will be seasonally driven, with a focus on sourcing from Texas farms and purveyors." A full range of wine and cocktails will be available to pair with the dishes. Open for lunch Monday through Friday, the restaurant will also serve happy hour and function as an event space in the evenings. Four meeting rooms will also hold groups of up to 12.
