Craft Beer Week in Houston: Best Places to get Craft Beer in Houston

Houston is home to tons of craft breweries, many of them with locations in the Inner Loop. With the recent celebration of American Craft Beer Week (May 10-15), we thought we’d take some time to highlight some of the fan-favorite choices for craft beer in the Houston Area. 

1. 8th Wonder Brewery

Craft Brew Overview: 
Founded in 2013. Known for their hefeweizen and Vietnamese coffee porter. 

2. Baileson Brewing Co.

Craft Brew Overview: 
Housed in a remodeled, former 1950's gas station, and named after the owners’ dogs. Known for their IPAs. 
 
3. Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.

Founded in 2011. Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. Known for interesting beers such as minty stouts, pink beer made with hibiscus, and copper ales.

Known for their wide array of brews, including hazy IPAs, sours, and porters.
 
 
5. Eureka Heights Brewing Co.

Mostly specializing in a variety of beers under 8% ABV. Incorporate fun beer names like Mostly Harmless and Big Boss. Make sure to ask them about Betty White.

Rotating brews seasonally. The current lineup features a Citra-forward IPA, pilsners, and a milk stout. They also feature food truck offerings and feature pop-up chefs.

Features IPAs, and an array of Porters that include Baltic and coffee. They also have a variety of ales, stouts, and Lagers. 
 
10. Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

Craft Brew Overview: 
Saint Arnold shipped its first keg of beer on June 9, 1994, making this the oldest craft brewery in Texas. A dedicated crew brews, filters, kegs, bottles, and sells the beer at an expansive location north of downtown. Saint Arnold has award-winning ales and IPAs, and even brews its own root beer.

Adorned with space themes, since they were founded by current and former NASA employees. Their specialty is Old World-style brews. They also make sour and wild ales. Beers are available on tap and in bottles

Tree-shaded beer garden. 15 taps available, featuring brown and blonde ales, IPAs, porters, some experimental options, and even Kombucha.

Craft Brew Overview: 
14,000 square-foot facility, with a 10-barrel brewhouse and a canning line. They also have a dedicated barrel and blending room, their own taproom. Crafting Houston-specific experimental beers.
