Urban Harvest Farmer's Market Leading the Charge in Houston's Eat-Local Food

Houston is jumping on board the “eat local” food scene. One of the latest additions to the eat local movement is the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, located in a massive parking lot in the Upper Kirby area.

Every Saturday morning, local vendors are flooding the new farmers market with everything from organic meat and locally grown vegetables to fresh eggs, fresh fish, and hundreds of other locally sourced and locally grown options.

Locals and visitors alike are welcome to come by on Saturdays to support new and long-time favorite local businesses and vendors in the area. Many of the businesses you’ll see on Saturday set up shop in the same location each and every weekend.

This farmers market is owned, operated, and overseen by Urban Harvest ––– a growing non-profit organization that believes local habitat, fruit, and vegetable gardens have the power to positively impact and change lives.
