October 9-10: The Art Colony Association Art Festival

The Art Colony Association Art Festival is welcoming guests back to the Bayou City Arts festival this year. Patrons will be able to view original art, meet the artists, and buy original artwork. 

Location: Sam Houston Park, 1000 Bagby St., Houston.
Time: 10 AM - 6 PM
Admission: $18 for Adults. $5 for kids 6-12. Free for children 6 and under.

October 22-23: Oktoberfest in Houston

Come out to Houston’s Oktoberfest for German food and beer vendors, live Polka music, and Olympiad games including a barrel roll, stein race, stein hoist, and bratwurst toss. 

Location: Water Works at Buffalo Bayou, 105 Sabine St., Houston
Time: 5 PM - 10 PM on October 22nd. 1 PM - 10 PM October 23. 
Admission: $25 in advance. $35 at the door.

October 23: Houston Arboretum Trick or Treat 

Put on your costume and come out to the Houston Aboretum’s annual ArBOOretum event of the Halloween season. The event is open to members and the general public, and will feature pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, train rides, pony rides, a full halloween market, a rock wall, and of course, trick-or-treating.

Location: Houston Arboretum, 4501 Woodway Drive, Houston.
Time: 10 AM - 4 PM.
Admission: Free for members and children under 3. $15 for nonmembers.

October 28: Join Menil Collection for their Party in the Park Fundraiser

The Menil Collection is launching Party in the Park, their newest fundraiser to support the museum’s ongoing free operations. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a variety of food stations, and live entertainment.
