Looking to View a Fourth of July Fireworks Show?

Houston's annual Fourth of July celebration, Freedom Over Texas, will continue this year without public activities due to the coronavirus pandemic. This means you can still check out the city's epic fireworks display. The fireworks will be done at an elevated launch so more Houstonians can celebrate and watch the show by looking towards the city's skyline from the west.

A lineup of live and virtual entertainers is scheduled, which will be broadcast and livestreamed from 6:30 to 10 pm. ABC13 will provide a live statewide simulcast of the entire event. COX Media Group radio stations will also simulcast the fireworks music soundtrack. The line-up includes:

  • Lyle Lovett – Legendary four-time Grammy Award-winning country music singer/songwriter
  • Josh Turner – Award winning American country and gospel singer known for hits “Your Man” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and 2015 Freedom Over Texas headliner
  • La Mafia Houston’s own four-time Grammy Award-winning Latin group, celebrating their 40th anniversary
  • Hunter Hayes – 2017 Freedom Over Texas headliner and CMA Award-winning artist
