On The Kirb: The New Houston Sports Bar That Has Everyone Talking

Nothing gets better than an afternoon or evening of great food, drinks, and sports on every screen.

Your free time is valuable, and you don’t want to waste it on divey bars with subpar food and overpriced drinks.

On the Kirb in the West University area is the remedy to the same-old sports bar experience. It is a one-of-a-kind destination for lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks, a night out, and watching the big game.

It takes the idea of what it means to be a traditional sports bar, and totally flips the concept on its head ––– offering a full menu of organic, fresh, and diverse foods for any and all palates.

The idea for On the Kirb grew out of a local need and a gap that wasn’t being addressed by any other sports bar or restaurant in the area. Owner and Houston local Joe Arbeely struggled for years to find healthy options at sports bars when he would go out to watch games with his friends and family.

Since he couldn’t find what he wanted in a sports bar, he decided to create one for himself. Out of that necessity, On the Kirb was born. A sports bar that serves ice-cold beer, delectable cocktails, and wine along with healthier food options like their famous salads, Beyond Burgers on gluten-free buns, steak, seafood and their famous organic tacos and wraps.

For the foodies who love a good brunch, they have a full menu of breakfast cocktails, skillets, pancakes, and even breakfast tacos. All while the sports fans have plenty of screens to watch all your favorite games on a weeknight or weekend.

On the Kirb has locations in both Upper Kirby and Midtown. Check out their website at OnTheKirb.com to learn more.
