Cleburne Cafeteria Opens

Good news for fans of Cleburne Cafeteria. The restaurant on Bissonnet near Edloe in West U. reopens its doors Friday after being shut down by a devastating accidental fire in April 2016. Owner George Mickelis tells CultureMap in an email that the iconic restaurant, which advertises itself as "Houston's oldest and best cafeteria," will be making one big change when it reopens — diners will finally be able to pay with a credit card instead of the previous cash-only policy. Thankfully, the signature recipes remain the same.
